Finally the eagle has landed! hehehe we’re finally home for 2 months vacation. 15 days has already passed since we arrived, our luggages are almost empty as the pasalubongs have been taken out and given to their respective recipients. I can’t afford to give Ulysse Nardin watches for pasalubongs, so we gave out the usual chocolates and shirts. Maybe when I’m mega rich, my family can expect luxury items as gifts.

Hubby is flying back to Prague in two weeks, I have to buy some Pinoy stuff for my friends and ask him to bring it back with him. I hope this time we won’t have excess baggage.

getting ready for a major trip

Packing up is a big challenge, deciding on what stuff to bring and to leave behind. Truly, our planned vacation has suddenly made me figure-conscious, what with clothes to be brought which is a must. And naturally, this brings me to the question of which blouse or jeans to bring that would fit me presently, not before when I still had a “cute” frame!

Many others who desire to lose weight easily read reviews of weight loss pills as there’s a wealth of information about this topic on the Internet. For instance, I’ve come across an online resource about diet pills, providing a guide and helping consumers who are on the lookout for pills that will work for them. road trip

Since summer kicked in, I’ve been seeing plenty of rvs in the road lately. The summer camps are fully-packed with rvs! I’m sure they’re having fun doing this. Most of them are doing it every year, and each time choosing a different place to go to. They must have done plenty of preparations before going in their trip; the stuff to bring, rv insurance needed, which roads to take… Whew! Good thing there’s GPS these days to make traveling easier.

I’d love to own a RV too. Someday, I wish I’ll be able to go on a road trip with my family and visit the many interesting places I still haven’t seen. But if we can’t own one, even a car would do. We’ve been to neighboring European cities just using our old Mazda car so not having a RV can’t stop us from traveling on the road.

It’s officially summer in Europe but unfortunately we won’t be here to enjoy it. We will soon be flying to Philippines and the its rainy season there. Isn’t it ironic? We’re leaving Europe just when the weather is perfect in exchange for wet and soggy days? I hope it won’t be raining all day there, and that there won’t be any strong typhoon hitting the country like last year.

I have started preparing the things we’re going to bring for our trip – unused clothes, gifts, the kids clothes, etc. I am thinking of buying my little girl a pair of rain boots which will be useful for the rainy vacation we’ll have. At least I don’t have to worry about her feet and shoes getting wet or dirty when she steps in puddles. Weee so many things to doooo and buy before we leave! But we still have enough time to prepare for everything. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Spring is in the air! It’s time to take out your outdoor furniture and relax in the sun, go for some walk around the neighborhood, grill some barbecue, or play with the kids. Well, you can add more outdoor activities to the list.

Last weekend, we toured our friend at Pruhonice Park for some sightseeing. Of course, we brought with us the kids and had a really grand time.

Isn’t it nice to take a leisurely walk along this river bank? That’s a picture of Miami Riverwalk. Being pregnant, walking is a great exercise for me. Though there are lots of picturesque places here in Prague for walking, our weather here has been getting colder which really isn’t nice to go out. The past few days the temperature has dipped down to negative. Brrrrr… Yesterday I wasn’t prepared for it – I was under-dressed, so I really felt cold.

That’s why an escape to Miami sounds great. Who wants to go with me to miami florida? Dreaming is for free anyway!

the downside of traveling with kids

Hubby was teasing me earlier today about taking vacation once the baby is out. I told him he has to go with us coz it won’t be easy for me to travel alone with an infant and an active toddler to handle. He said I can leave our eldest with him so I only have to worry about the baby. Heh! I wonder how we will be able to work and take care of her at the same time. I don’t think it’s even possible for him to bring our daughter with him at work.

Anyway, having kids would definitely affect our travels. Before having kids, travel was easy. We only have to spend for ourselves and take care of ourselves. This time we’ll have to spend more on airfares and we’ll have kids in tow. I bet we’ll be looking up for cheap travel insurance quotes and airfares if we should ever decide to all go home to the Philippines for a vacation.

I never really got to post a lot of pictures of our trip to Berlin last summer and to think that we’ve been there twice. One of the interesting sights that we passed by along the way were the tall and white windmills. It was my first time to see windmills that close, and in person. =) Even when the car was running fast (on a highway, in Germany!), these mighty windmills still got to be the “babes” of our cameras.

packing up again

I’ve been starting packing my things since last week. It’s better to be prepared early than be sorry. We’ll be flying back to Europe in less than a month and I want to see how much luggage I’m going to bring with me. I feel like I’m going to need an extra one coz I’ve been shopping a lot plus the gifts my little girl, hubby and I received from Christmas would also need space. A Swiss Army luggage would be a good choice. But I’ll just settle for the green lightweight old luggage of hubby. I hope it will be enough for all the things I’ve accumulated since the start of my vacation here in the Philippines.
