Digital cameras are great travel companions, right? One can just click away at anything interesting when going outdoors. And especially now that spring is here…I just want to capture the season with my cam. Good thing, I can take as many photos as I can without worrying about wasting film, I can just delete the bad shots later on my hard disk. Everyday though, the photos and videos keep piling up in my computer. And for me, they’re as precious as any of those financial documents. I’m thinking of creating some DVD backups incase the inevitable happens.

For those who have loads of files in their computers, I’m sure they’d also want to keep copies. According to a survey, 1 out of 10 computer hard drives fail each year. That means a lot of data loss, whether it’s your favorite digital photos or important company documents. The usual backup would be hard copies either on another hard drive or on a CD/DVD disc. Another good alternative is getting an online backup service. Users install the online backup program that runs in the background while they’re working. This program automatically detects file changes and stores an online backup. The users can retrieve a copy in case something happens to his files on the computer.

Last year my sis got something in the mail, it was a credit card specifically tailored for motorists. Getting fuel rebates via credit card was not really what my sis needed, but that card was her stepping stone to avail of another type of card from the same company which gives rewards or points for shopping. Those who are frequently on the road though could benefit from such credit cards which provide other motoring perks. Hmmm… motorists would surely love being given some roadside assistance, such as that of good sam motorhome towing, or other discounts and privileges exclusively for motorists.

What do kababayans place inside a balikbayan box? I know most would usually canned goods, lotions, shampoos, soaps, chocolates, bags, dresses and other things which they think would be useful for their family back home.

Recently a friend has been offering us with balikbayan box for only 60-90 euros with no weight limit (price depending on the destination of the package). I was told it’s a big box. I couldn’t think how to fill such a big box. It’s a bit unpractical to send the usual stuff like what other country mates are doing coz these items can also be bought in our country. If ever I should send a box back home, I was thinking of filling it up with things that can’t be bought there like some house accessories and kitchen items from Ikea, used electronics which they can still salvaged like bluray dvd player or a mini-vacuum which I noticed is much cheaper here and other stuff like that.

Anyway as of now, I didn’t get a balikbayan box yet. Maybe in the future I’ll have a need for it. Maybe when the time comes for us to transfer residence.

Moving to a new place? Whew! I tell you it’s tough! Packing is such a tedious work. It’s simply hard to decide which things to bring with you and leave or give away. But once you’ve passed that stage, it will be a relief. All you have to do is choose a moving company that can transfer your stuff to your new home. But finding a reliable one from many moving companies Los Angeles can be tricky. It’s best to ask your friends or colleagues for suggestions. They might be able to recommend good moving companies from their previous experiences. You wouldn’t want all your valuable things getting lost to scams or lousy service, so do your homework too.

With the use of barcode scanners, totaling the amount of purchase is easy and fast for cashiers. Fast service also makes the shoppers happy.

But there are times when it can be helped and we buy in small stores with primitive paying system where they have to input the price of an item manually. This takes time and may have errors if not done well.

When we transferred to this flat we’re living now, I was glad that it was already fully furnished. We didn’t need to buy things such as furniture, big appliances, and other essentials that are needed to make a house livable. We did buy few items but it was minimal. I’m not too excited buying many stuff for this house because I know we’re residing here temporarily anyway. Moving would be a lot of a hassle if we own many big and fragile things such as art works.

So how do people with art pieces move their precious possessions from one place to another? Art Moving needs a special attention and care. They need to be shipped and stored in very great care. There’s a fine art mover called Mind’s Eye that specializes on transporting valuable art work possessions far beyond than the usual crating, shipping, storing and showcasing. They do these services in an artful way! Whether they are portraits, sculptures, antiques and any other special art pieces, they’ll handle it with extra care keeping in mind customer satisfaction.

No wonder museums and collectors have been hiring Mind’s Eye to do these special tasks for them. According to the company, art can be a moving experience.

Last summer, we travelled a lot; riding on planes, travelling by car, or taking a bus. It was fun coz the family was with us. Unfortunately we can only stay for a day on some of the places we went to like Vienna and Berlin. Hubby has work the next day and we had to get back to Prague that same day of travel.

Anyway, one of the best way to see the sights if you’ve got a limited time like for only a day is by riding a car or for big groups, a van or bus would be apt. In fact that’s why tour buses are very popular with tourists. We’ve seen plenty of tour buses at every tourist attractions we visited.
Anyway, if you’re in New York and want to hire quality vehicles to drive you around the city, from your hotel to airport or to any places of interest, you can contact a charter bus nyc. NYC bus charters is known for their great service and comfortable and quality transportation services. For that ultimate travel experience, whether for a leisure tour or business trip, make your trip a successful one by hiring them. You won’t be disappointed with their service I bet.

You can also choose which pictures you want to be printed which saves money. The disadvantage though is that you can’t easily see the pictures coz you have to turn on the computer and the worst thing is if there is a power outage, you can’t open your computer.

I’m planning to have few pictures printed, those that I really like. Kodak Gallery coupons can give me discount as the “few” pictures might actually turn out to be plenty! After all, it’s been years since I last have our pictures printed!
