I’m posting some pictures of Prague showing the National Museum located at the centre and buildings at the Prague Castle grounds…

The weather today wasn’t good and to think that it’s a weekend! It has been a damp day! So we just holed up at home, eating hot chinese noodles while hubby was busy working. But I’m sure that even rain, snow or whatever circumstances, Prague wouldn’t scare the tourists away. They always flock to this beautiful city especially during summer.

sea foods alright but not fresh

I saw a shop selling sea foods while I was with my friends this week at Palladium, the newly-opened mall at Prague’s centre. Deprived of sea foods for a long time already, I decided to check out what they have for sale. There were different kinds of fishes, shells, shrimps and squid! My hubby loves squid! So I bought half kilo to make him happy!

The price per kilo was shocking if I compare it to the price back home. At Sea Food Shop (SFS), it was 390 czk/kilo (20 USD)while in the Philippines, I can buy it at P80-100/kilo (2 USD) and its truly FRESH unlike at the SFS where its frozen for days or weeks!

For me one of the best way to see Prague is by walking around the city and get lost in one of those narrow cobbled stones leading to small quaint shops or by riding their efficient public transport – bus, trams or subway. Unlimited rides are possible by buying a transport ticket good for a day, a week, a month or three months. It will get you to almost anywhere in Czech Republic within the specified zone by whatever kind of transportation you desire.

One Friday afternoon I was craving for something sweet. I searched in the cupboard and ref but couldn’t find anything to satisfy my sweet tooth. I messaged M to buy me chocolates on his way home. He came with four big bars of assorted Studentská chocolate flavors.

This Czech chocolate is memorable for M. When he was still a student, his mom would reward him and his brother with these chocs after their exams.

I LOVE TREES! I love looking at their intertwined branches, the rough texture of their trunks and the colorful hues of their leaves. It’s a beautiful architecture of nature!

The poet Joyce Kilmer has written a beautiful poem about trees.

TREES

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
