When I’m at a mall and just strolling about without any shopping list, I always make it a point to drop by the home and living section. I love checking out the furniture and home decors especially the interior design showcases for the different areas in a home, such as a contemporary-themed bedroom or a holiday-inspired living room. Isn’t it fascinating to look at a wide range of furniture designs and the function that goes with each piece, seeing how a certain furniture offers convenience as well as aesthetic appeal?
Aside from being an architect, I’m sure my Dad played a major part in my fascination with furniture design. He started doing carpentry since he was a teen, and did most of the home furniture after marrying my mom. He designed and built their queen-size bed, the book cabinet, dining table, chairs and many other items. He surely deserves a huge THANK YOU!
Walking through furniture showrooms can easily make one exhausted though, despite enjoying the attractive displays around. Also, some items are not completely labeled, lacking important product details.
