    empty parking lot

    empty parking lot

It’s not usual to see the parking lot in our neighborhood empty. It’s always full especially after five in the afternoon until the morning. But that particular Friday morning, when I looked down on the street below us, I saw the parking lot devoid of cars. Why is that? There was a scheduled cleaning of the streets that day, so all the cars were not allowed to park for some period of time. The streets are cleaned using water hosed off with pressure washers. The cleaning time started at 7 in the morning and ended at 4 in the afternoon. I don’t know where the other residents parked their car but my husband was fortunate enough to find a free parking space nearby our place.
